The Catechism Speaks: The True Identity of the Church of God

The Catechism of the Catholic Church never said that the Roman Catholic Church is the Church of God.

In Part 1, Section 2, Chapter 3, Article 9, Paragraph 2 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church — titled “The Church – People of God, Body of Christ, Temple of the Holy Spirit” — the Church is described using three primary biblical images. According to the section on the “The People of God”, the Church is called the People of God.

So who are the People of God?

According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church #781-#782, the Church, or the People of God, are those people whom God acquired for Himself to acknowledge and serve Him in holiness.

How to become a member of the Church or the People of God?

According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church #782, the actual members of the Church, or the People of God, are those people who are baptized with water and baptized with the Holy Spirit.

Is baptism of water and baptism of the Holy Spirit the same?

No. Jesus said in John 3:5, it is written: Apekrithē ho Iēsous Amēn amēn legō soi, ean mē tis gennēthē ex hydatos kai Pneumatos ou dynatai eiselthein eis tēn basileian tou Theou.

In English:

Answered Jesus, Truly, truly, I say to you, if not anyone be born of water and the Spirit, not he is able to enter into the kingdom of God.

The conjunction “and” or “kai” in Greek was used to separate two things, and these are “the baptism of water” and “the baptism of the Spirit.” Therefore, there are 2 baptisms.

The baptism of water is the baptism in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is just our declaration of faith to Jesus Christ, who is the Way through whom we receive grace from the Father, and through whom the gift of the Holy Spirit is poured out. While the baptism of the Holy Spirit frees us from original sin and our actual sins, bringing us new life with God through Jesus Christ, our mediator.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church never said that the Church of God is a physical church!

Hell’s Exit Door: Does It Even Exist?

According to movies, yes. According to other churches, yes. Well, transferring from Paradise to hell, or vice versa, is unbibli c al. The Bible tells us that when a person dies, he is going to face the initial judgment. (Heb9:27) It's either he will go to Paradise or hell. That would be their temporary home while waiting for the final judgment. Can You Ever Leave Hell Once You're There Jesus tells us in Luke 16:26 about the Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus where the rich man is asking Abraham for some relief in hell. Then Abraham responded: "And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. " The keyword here is: "b etween us and you there is a great gulf fixed". Meaning, there is no way for you to leave wherever you are. You don't need to feel sorry about them because on their own free will, they choose to be in hell in...

Was It Really Samuel? Examining Saul's Encounter with the Medium of Endor

In Christian theological discourse, 1 Samuel 28 is often cited to maintain that divination, or any magical arts, were approved by Yahweh. However, this claim collapses under careful reading of the text. First thing first, we should examine the truth on why Saul consulted the medium in Endor. In 1 Samuel 8, the Israelites were pleading to Samuel into giving them a king who will rule them and lead them in their battles just like in other countries. Samuel prayed to Yahweh about this matter, where God answered, "Do what they want and give them a king." A quite some time, Saul, the son of Kish, was chosen to be the first king of Israelites. At first, Saul conveyed obedience to God until he started to become arrogant and disobedient. (1 Samuel 16:4) As a result, Yahweh abandoned him, and the Holy Spirit departed from him. Following this, evil spirits were said to surround him, and his primacy began to deteriorate. When he saw the Philistines assembling near the town ...

Can Hypnotherapists Find Your Soulmate? The Truth About Their Limits

Hypnotherapy and regression therapy use hypnosis as a tool to help individuals access their subconscious mind to explore hidden fears, past memories, emotional blockages or unresolved conflicts. These therapeutic techniques are often sought by individuals looking for self-discovery and emotional healing. Some people, however, turn to these therapies in hopes of discovering their soulmate’s identity, with the belief that the subconscious holds hidden truths about spiritual connections and past lives. While such ideas can be compelling, it is misleading, as these therapies are entirely subjective and do not involve any technology or scientific methods to identify a soulmate. Hypnotherapists and regressionists rely solely on verbal communication as their main tool during sessions.  In regression therapy, the regressionist uses hypnosis to help clients enter into a deeply relaxed state to access their subconscious mind. Once this state is reached, the therapists will start asking quest...
